Munch Of The Month: Wall Street Burgers

Wall Street Burgers is quite personal to me. Many next-day deadlines with a hunger for a smashed-patty burger that powered me through gruelling coursework. An establishment that cradled me with their Bear Fries whenever I had girl problems. There have been several occasions when I'm on the bus going home from the gym or training but the vibrant, turmeric hue hypnotises me with a "just one wouldn't hurt right?". Wall Street Burgers is more than the loaded fries, chicken tenders and milkshakes. It's the late-night spot to satisfy your cravings, to allow you to relax and heal your spirit.

Situated in the bend of Walsgrave Road, Coventry, Wall Street is located at the best possible place as the road paves the way into the heart of the city, blinding drivers that pass-by with their black and gold-coloured business. Just as it did with me.

They take pride in their flavour-packed burgers with a soft interior, crunchy exterior patty with two luscious brioche buns sandwich-ing it. Their Bear and Bull Fries are wild, just like the animals they named them after. Topped with either minced beef or chopped chicken tender pieces, drizzled with cheese and topped with fresh jalapeños, it's an indulgent treat with a subtle kick.

I vividly reminisce the moment when the manager of Wall Street saw me with my Nikon D5100 wrapped around my neck like a Cuban link. He asked me if I do photography...no I'm in the circus init. He asked to see my pictures and he was impressed, offering me to be his wedding photographer, one of my first offers for a big paid break as an A-Level Photography Student. Unfortunately, due to school ploughing me with an immense volume of work, I had no choice but to do the mischievous "I'll see if I can do it for you". I am now sitting here with a double smashed-patty in my hands despite only ordering a single, Bull Fries on my right, a sprite on my left

and a salad in the fridge waiting for me to make me feel better for the amount of calories I'm about to practically inhale in one sitting as i finish off this school project, but guess what.

At least Wall Street is healing my spirit.
